4-D Vision
4-D Vision
4-D Vision
4-D Vision
4-D Vision
4-D Vision

There’s a lively dance floor in my coffee mug
The blank cassette tape wound around me and won’t let me go
This silver-tinted noise is a gift from Marc Bolan
Let’s disappear just like this into cellophane flowers
Scales¹ of angels swallowed down the star of Sirius² raining down
The hands of the clock turned into snails once they match the rhythm
A love song plays from the spaceship on the night of Tanabata³
Shall we doodle? Since the mottled walls look lonely
The big bang which happened when I was seventeen
Left me at a loss
4-D Vision Spiral Staircase
I was born again as I danced
4-D Vision Spiral Staircase
I became one with you as we sang
The blue strawberry field is Hawking’s⁴ toy box
While hugging the guitar warped in red
I crossed the Great Flood of the Milky Way on Noah’s Ark
Shall I leave home? Otherwise it’s straight into the black hole of Cygnus⁵
The crunch which happened when I was twelve
Made me hate being born
4-D Vision Spiral Staircase
I was born again as I danced
4-D Vision Spiral Staircase
I became one with you as we sang
4-D Vision Spiral Staircase
I was born again as I sang
4-D Vision Spiral Staircase
I became one with you as we danced
Notes:
¹ As in fish scales, insect scales, etc.
² Also known as the “Dog Star”, the Sirius star is the brightest star in the night sky. Ancient Egyptians believed that Sirius represented the Spirit of Rebirth, of sacred comings and becomings, for people and the land. There are also some who believe that Sirius heals the pain and suffering spanning lifetimes and generations
³ This is likely referencing the deities Orihime and Hikoboshi which Tanabata celebrates. Their story is based on the Chinese folklore story, The Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. In both the Japanese and Chinese iterations, the two lovers can only reunite once a year on the 7th day of the 7th month.
⁴ Stephen Hawking
⁵ Cygnus is a northern constellation on the plane of the Milky Way. Apart from the numerous myths surrounding it, the constellation is also seen as a symbol of transformation, rebirth, and enlightenment.
