Electric Moon
The Youths’ Unbending¹ Pockets
Lyrics by ISSAY
Music by DER ZIBET
Japanese
青いカミソリみたいな
愛を僕にくれ
重い荷物をかかえた
皮膚を切り裂いて
むき出しの神経
そいつが僕だ
Darling 退屈で悲しい
映画見ているみたいだ
Darling 耐える事などない
すぐに石を投げつけろ
ー壁は外にはないー
固いあなたのポケット
僕は手を入れた
すぐに熱くなるはずさ
体浮いてくる
羽根がはえるみたい
だからステキさ
Darling 僕達のポケットは
すごいガラクタで一杯
Darling 捨て去る物ばかり
きのうの恋も何もかも
Darling 退屈で悲しい
映画見ているみたいだ
Darling 耐える事などない
すぐに石を投げつけろ
ー壁は外にはないー

Give me love
like a blue razor
Cut open skin
burdened with heavy baggage
Exposed nerves
That’s me
Darling Boring and sad
It’s like watching a movie
Darling There’s nothing to put up with
Now, stone them!
ーThe walls aren’t on the outsideー
Into your unbending pockets
I dip my hands
It probably gets heated quick
My body is floating away
It’s as if wings will grow
That’s why it’s lovely
Darling Our pockets are
Just so full of crap
Darling There’s nothing but trash²
Anything and everything and yesterday’s love
Darling Boring and sad
It’s like watching a movie
Darling There’s nothing to put up with
Now, stone them!
ーThe walls aren’t on the outsideー
Notes:
¹ I originally thought to simply translate 固い as a simple “hard”, but comparing its definition with the usual form of katai (硬い), 固い is usually used for things that aren’t physical like bonds or personality, so “unbending” was the final decision.
² 捨て去る物 isn’t exactly a commonly used phrase or anything like that, but it literally refers to something that’s meant to be thrown away. Rather than use this whole phrase, I cut it down to “trash”.
